Wedding Fun - long drive

What a beautiful wedding - again. We had a wonderful time seeing friends we have not seen in years. We were so glad to be part of their wonderful day.

Bride's family has a tradition at Christmas to remember her brother by letting go balloons.
We miss him lots.

Our parents are always looking to give advice.
Two of the four moms have to check out the groom for their friends daughter.

Got my kids cleaned up before the wedding. The white shirt on Milk Dud did not stay clean as he is still crawling on his belly. I forgot about how dirty it would get. They looked good at first. Candy could not wait to wear her "fancy" dress.

Candy was so excited because the bride talked to her. Thanks for doing that for her. It was exciting. I told Candy that the bride was the prettiest girl at the party and she said, "I am really pretty today though." Sorry, I guess it is a tie.

We did not call everyone in advance and we were not part of the wedding party.
We just all wore black. Great to be with fun friends.

New kids to play with. Grandmas were proud of the grand kids.

Bride's Family all dressed up. These are some of our childhood friends all grown-up.

Groomsmen all got fun shoes to wear, but they did not even stay on with all the dancing. The women might have kept their shoes on longer.

Another great family with new Grandkids for the grandmothers to brag about!

We know these two have guys but we have not seen them!!
We cannot wait to meet them soon.

Trying to get a good picture of these three was hard.
Sorry - I had to post this one for those that were there.

Same thing happened here - M you crazy girl with the grabby fingers!!

We had a great time dancing!

My kids loved the party but did not make it all night.

We had a wonderful lunch the next morning.

It was one long ride back home... about 5 hours and the kids did really well. We were able to borrow a DVD player for the big kids and Milk Dud took a few naps. They were all ready to be done when we got home.

Thanks for doing a lot of the driving Doughnut.

Fun With Friends

We love having friends come over. Last week when we thought it was going to rain we called some dear friends to see if their parents would share them for the afternoon. (They did have our kids while we were at the wedding - so, thanks for watching our kids.) By the time we picked them up, it was HOT outside, but we decided no suits.... we would play inside for the afternoon. They had a great time, At one point all 5 kids were together, and I snapped a few pitures.

They were all in one place at the same time.

Climber

Papa Popcorn was watching Milk Dud in his "safe areas" and he lost him. Milk Dud learned to climb over another blocking wall. (We had used a toy box, pack-n-play, and a doll crib.) This is a new house to us with a baby so we have not had to gate another child in here. Well, this third child has made it over everything and now at 10 months he can climb over the toy box to get to Candy's art table. This is how we found him.

Look Mom - I have fun things to play with on the table.

This is the gate we have for the other side of the room
but it is not large enough for the playroom.

The next day, so we can see how he got up, we all stood on the non Milk Dud area (by the art table) and he was not happy until he remembered he could climb!

New solution- Daddy is so wise.
We used the kitchen set with the pack-n-play.
We will see how long this lasts.

FREE CAKE

The wedding we were at had some extra cakes. We were at the Bride's parent's house the next day. So my wonderful Aunt "M" said to Ice Cream - "When you leave, you can take a cake home with you." He was not sure if this was true but when we were leaving she said, "Don't forget your cake." Ice Cream almost ran to the car thinking someone might take it away from him. As he passed Papa Popcorn in the yard Ice Cream said, "Papa, FREE CAKE!" He did not stop but went right to the car. I guess I know how to get him to the car fast in the future.

We decided to invite a few neighbors to enjoy the free cake.
